Politcal Cartoon 4

I. Love. Sarah. Palin. She's just so darn funny. Maybe it's not Sarah Palin that I love, but the Sarah Palin jokes.

I think this photo is representing the Sarah Palin jokes very well. I think this photo tries to say she is a ditsy one. Maybe ADDish, and possibly overexcited about stuff. What I would have loved to see is something about her whereabouts in Alaska. And maybe some moose huntin'.

Since I have been old enough to understand the issues behind cancer, I have heard about what NOT to do, eat or drink, to not get cancer.

There are obvious things that cause do really cause cancer, smoking, to much UV rays, ect. But I have heard about alot of things that one should not do... to dodge cancer. Don't drink diet coke. Thats one that I really remember. Cell phones atennea's cause cancer. Thats my favorite.

Who is the one in charge of deciding these kinds of things? How are these things discovered? Proved? I drink diet coke, and I dont have cancer. I have also had a cellular phone since I was 17,and I still don't have cancer. I wonder who did get cancer from those situations though..

Who doesn't love Oprah? It appears in the picture that Obama is featured on an Oprah episode. What is funny about this particular cartoon, is that the hype from the croud is not over the president appearing on the show, but for Oprah.
What does Oprah have over Obama? Is it the fact that she can donate her own income to help the poor or a child in need? It may seem like Oprah does more good deeds that Obama, but the fact of the matter is that Obama has not been allowed by the public to shine like Oprah. Every one loves when Oprah donates money to some program that maybe helps kids learn to read of some sort. What about if and when Obama does? The public would focus more on who he did not donate to versus him actually taking the time to donate.

Pre-spring time.

Hello!

Spring is in the air! Can't you SMELL it? FEEL it?? SEE it?? Even though we all can tell that spring is on it's way over, this is a very akward time for minnesota. The weather is still slightly chilly, there is still a little bit of snow placed on the ground, and the leaves are not on the trees quite yet. We see al kinds of spring-like things out, from apparel, to home decor, to out-door activities. But the weather is still cold! I walk around target and see all the spring related merchandise and I just wnt to buy it all! But why do I want to buy it all? I think it's the anticipation that spring just around the corner. When Spring is finally here, all the summer merchandise is going to be out and it's just going to be the same deal!

This is obviously how companies sell there product! Merchandise gets you so excited about the next season that is coming.

Many people would not find this as interesting as I do. Nor I'm sure many people don't notice why they buy. I am in to the fashion merchandising business so it's an art to me. I love observing and learning about this stuff.

Ramen Noodles: America's cheapest meal

In May of 2010, I stepped down from my "Big Girl" Management position to return back to school. Even though this will benefit me in the GREATLY in the future, I am now broke. When I had a "big girl' salary paying job, I was able to eat good foods, buy good groceries, ect.

That is not an option for me anymore.

The past year I have found ways to buy groceries at a cheap price (God Bless Aldi). I have also discovered that packing a lunch for work is much, much cheaper than eating out each time.

To save even more money during the holidays, I decided to stick to a Ramen Noodle dinner. I ate Ramen Noodles for dinner almost every night for two and a half months. After two weeks I started to notice some odd changes in my body. I noticed my jeans became too big, my face and back broke out (pretty nasty...) and I became very sick, tired, and just overall a big pile of...

I spoke to my mother whom is very knowledgeable of health, and she said no doubt, I am allergic to a MAJOR processed chemical in Ramen Noodles, MSG. These symptoms I have been noticing are part of a major allergic reaction. Who knew?

I am slowly recovering, eating good and REAL foods, and keeping MSG to a minimum. I am still sick and lathargic, but I am so much better than I was.

Note to self: NO MORE RAMEN NOODLES

It's half you daily sodium intake in one bowl anyways....
